I’m sure you’ve seen and heard the ads about selling your old gold jewelry for cash and maybe are a bit skeptical. Well, I was too but decided to give it a try. I gathered up some of my old stuff from the 80’s (think add-a-bead necklaces, herringbone chains) and went to a place in Kenwood to see how it works. They sorted the items into the different gold weights (10k, 14k etc.) and then offered a price. For about 12 items, it was $262. I thought that was pretty good but wanted to see what another place would offer. I went to JS Gold and Silver Exchange in Madeira. (Now JS Gold & Coin in the their NEW Location in Kenwood) For the very same items, they offered me $391! Can you say SOLD?!?
I was so thrilled with the CASH, that I wanted to spread the word. I thought a fun and easy way to do this is to host a GOLD PARTY Open House.
"In only 20 minutes time, I was able to get rid of jewelry I had not worn in years or had broken long ago and I was over $300 richer! I was so excited over the whole idea of the exchange that I did a fundraiser for my "Little Disciples PreSchool" at Beneva Christian Church to raise money for our scholarhip fund.
